About
Innovative remote radio solutions for 21st-century industries
We are Allgon, a Swedish industrial remote control specialist with a proud record of developing groundbreaking wireless technologies. Our antenna systems and communication solutions were at the forefront of smartphone and wireless technology for years. Today, we’re reinventing ourselves by turning past successes into inspiration for the future.
Our company’s story began way back in 1947, when engineer Torbjörn Cramner and his wide Veronica founded Antenna Specialists in Stockholm, Sweden. The couple were pioneers of wireless communication at the time — thanks to their ‘all angle’ antenna for radios, televisions, and cars. The success of this hugely successful innovation led to a prolonged period of expansion into other areas of wireless communications, including mobile telephony.
Over the years that followed the company’s initial success, Allgon played a pivotal role in a range of new digital mobile communication standards, including GSM, 4G LTE, and 5G. But since 2015, the company’s primary focus has been the development of wireless remote control technology for industrial use.
Allgon is now an international company with renowned brands such as Åkerströms and Tele Radio under its direct ownership. Through an ever-growing network of subsidiaries, Allgon is now home to more than 400 employees.
By combining innovation, expansion, new services, and effective synergies, we’re now driving steady growth. And we’re fully focused on our mission to create safe, efficient, and sustainable environments for our customers, stakeholders, and employees.
Innovation lies at the heart of everything we do. Our global network of R&D centers and production facilities is a fertile breeding ground for collaboration, innovation, and mutual trust. When it comes to driving brands forward with wireless equipment control and communication solutions, we’re leading the way.
